Dying fish

my fish is lying on his side on the bottom and is breating heavily. he looks like he is trying to swim but doesnt have the energy to. i cant see anything wrong with him. is there anything i can do to save him?

What type of fish? How big is the tank? What are your readings for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate? Ay other symptoms? How are the other fish? Have yo recently added anything or done anything to the tank?
