dwarf trouble!!

well i dont find it that bad, but my dwarf gourami keeps on building bubble nests, and he likes to pick my microsword plants as its decor!! kinda annoying since i have to replant em every morning. (he kinda picks it of the ground, hhehe saw him do it a couple of times, funny little fella). HOW CAN I STOP HIM FROM DOING IT!!!!

The only suggestion I have for stopping him is to increase the current in the area he is building his nest, it will definitely deter him as the bubbles won't stay put. Otherwise, you're sunk. He's one happy fellow!

If him pulling up the swords is your biggest complaint, you might try buying some floating plants. There's a chance he'd be persuaded to build on plants that are already floating.

You might try putting the plant back and laying heavier stones around the base of it over where the roots are spread out. Once they settle in and put out some new roots it will become to difficult for him and he will give up. Then you can remove the stones.

In the meanwhile, you might have to add some inexpensive plants that you can float on the surface. like cabomba.

Do you have a female in the tank too?

il try them all out. nope i only have males in the aquarium, a couple of em. The one that keeps building the nests bullies the other gourami and the big tetra, the big tetra bullies the bigger tetra and ultimately the biggest bully of the tank is my marble molly hahahaha btw il try the floating plants idea because i cant afford more current because im loosing a lot of C02 with my HOB
