Dwarf Puffers

i would say so they only grow a few MMs.
You have to have a goodfilter and plenty of live bloodworm for it to eat.
also get lots of soft plants and do the best you can to get lots of snails in the tank. As it makes a tasty treat for him.
Just watch it. If you disturb it it may puff up and it will be the last of your puffer.
Before you start have you considered green spotted puffers?
If you have i wil be able to give you info on them 2. (they are a brackish fish)(salt water)

Hope this helps.

The dwarf definitely sounds like your best bet. One should be quite happy in a 5gal. Make sure the tank is fully cycled when you put one in as they are very intolerant of bad water conditions. Be prepared for regular cleanups too as they are messy eaters. :D

Concidering he only has a 5G for them, a GSP would not be an option :) I'm quite sure you know this, just thought it was kinda weird you bought it up anyway!

And Kevin, even though you might be able to pull it of, I really wouldnt put 2 in a 5Gallon, they just need a lot of space to form their territories and I dont think a 5 would be enough for that  1 However would be fine :)
