hi, been on the brackish water section about keeping dwarf puffers & was told i should try here. So, I have a cycled 6g planted tank, with 4 neons & an apple snail & would really like a puffer fish, would it mix with the neons? should i remove them & add marine salt to the tank to suit a puffer? Can i keep a puffer in saline-free FW? if so, which species?
many thanks

DPs are freshwater tropical fish. Keep at 26C. They will not mix with the neons and will either eat the snail or pester it to death. A 6g would only house one as they are super messy and one on its own requires 5g. Their main staple should be bloodworm and snails (small enough for them to crunch). Hope that has helped some!

OK, understood, many thanks.
