Hiya.

Kevin and I were at PetsMart the other day to get some more meds for the Oto. Since we weren't in a hurry, we stuck around to look at all the fishies :*) In one tank, they had what were called "Dwarf Platys". They looked just like regular Platys, only they were less than half the size.

Anyone else heard of or seen these, or are they perhaps just few-month-old fry mislabeled? :unsure: -_-

Yes, I bought 1 at petsmart in April (I think). Dwarf coral sunburst platy.

Mine is a female, and it didn't really stay dwarf. :lol:

It's almost as big as the female platy I've had for 2.5 years. The tail on the "dwarf" isn't as long as the regular.

I wonder how they're bred? :dunno:

I also saw them at a few lfs.
