Thinking of getiing 6/8 dwarf neon rainbows for my tank.
Currently have cories, molly, dwarf gourami etc
I wanted something smallish that would school but want something different to the usual tetras, rasbora etc.

Does anyone have any & what are your opinions on them?

Cheers

What size is your tank and how many of each above do you have?

I really like the dwarf rainbows (praecox) and would keep some myself if I had the space available currently... Maybe when my neons and/or harlequins have passed on...  That means in about 2-5 years.

I've got a 200 litre tank with 5 albino cories, 1 Molly, 1 dwarf gourami, 4 zebra loaches.
Tank is moderately planted. 7.6 ph with a tetratec ex1200 filter in it.

Your tank is definitely large enough for a small shoal of the Praecox.  If you can find someone who breeds them you will probably get much nicer ones than from the LFS.  Lovely fish though all the same.

Also look into the threadfin rainbowfish. They won me over when I was looking into rainbowfish for my own system.

I have kept dwarf neon rainbows before and they are beautifully stunning! The bluish part of them kind of "shimmers" as they swim i would definatly recomend them

i like the look of them i have 6 and they look great

I got myself 6 a few weeks ago. Stunning little fish, bit different to the usual tetras, rasbora etc
