Dwarf Hamster

Hi guys

We got 2 Dwarf Hamsters just over a year ago (the wife wanted them) , at first we had them in a tiny cage which the guy at pets at home said would be fine for the pair, well after a week i though na this isn't right keeping them in such a small space so we got them a 3ft fish tank , they lived in there happily for about 2 months then they started fighting all the time , now in the new house they have a 2ft fish tank to themselves , would you say this is an ok sized home for them??

my wife has lost interest in them tbh , she still cleans them out every week mind you..

Is there any good sites about dwarfs you could you could recommend while I'm sat here bored at work lol

Im also wondering whats a good brand of food to feed them, the stuff we get from pets at home seems a waste of money as we must throw about 80% of it away as they dont most of it ..

My son got 2 dwarf hamsters and they fought like mad so had to be seperated.
A lot of people dont like putting animals into tanks as they dont get the air circulation and can get respiratory diseases.

Only gerbils are recommnended to be kept in a tank, as for the fighting, i'm not too sure as i only owned syrian hamsters which can only be kept by themselves...
