Today I realised I hadn't seen my pair of Dwarf Gourami in over a week so I fished them out of my plants and they've got got a red sore by their mouths. The males is VERY obvious, the females is much subtler but I imagine it will get a lot bigger.

No other fish are affected, any idea what this is and is it fatal/curable. I've put them both into a breeding trap for now so they're out of contact from other fish.

Help

That looks nasty.
Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

If its not gourami plague you will need to treat with a bacterial med.
Get you some info.

Anti internal bacteria med by interpet.

Breeding traps are not ideal as there to small and stress fish out.
Do you have a hospital tank.
