Hi,

can fuzzy dwarf lions have any tankmates in a 30 gallon tank? I hear that they just sit there and wanted to know if anything else is possible in the tank.

Also, some sites say they eat corals, and some say they are reef safe. Can someone clear this up please?

thanks

They can have fish tankmates that will not get eaten ( I would say anything over 3-4" should be fine). They will need good filtration though (overskimming will be a must) as they are a farily high bio-load on the filtration system.

They will not eat corals, but may upset them by sitting on them preventing them from opening. They are not classed as reef safe as their natural diet is invertebrates, and crustaceans in particular. If you don't mind constantly replacing hermits and ornamental shrimp then keep them with a reef.
