ive had my african dwarf frog for probably 5 months. and ive always had to feed it, like drop the food next to him with a straw, (about 1 inch from his mouth) or he wouldnt eat cause the fish would eat all the food before he would find any. well today i found out that he was dead... :-(
i know why, because i havent been feeding him. i would still drop the pellets next to him, but i usually have to drop and drop and drop until he gets at least a few, lately i have just kinda thrown it in the tank in his direction thinking he will do fine. only reason why i have for him dying...

anyways, i was just wodnering if your frogs are the same, if they are this difficult to feed, i want to get another one cause i love them, but i dunno if its just to difficult with fish, since fish are food hungry every min.

Hi panboy

I have two African Dwarf Frogs. They live together in a one gallon jar and are very happy to have a cozy little home of their own. :fun:

I know people like to keep them with fish, but I would worry too much. Since they are alone, they always get food and I don't have to worry about any big fish seeing their little arms waving around and mistaking them for worms.

They also work out well, I see, if they are in a tank with only a betta, or something like that. It's easier to control their feeding that way.

There's a link in my signature to a thread in this section about frogs and there are other threads in this section, too. You might enjoy reading them.

I do hope you get another frog. They are so cute.
