If i have a 12 gallon tank with 4 male guppies and 6 neon tetra, could i add an african dwarf frog? If so, how many?

Thanks for the help.

You could, but I wouldn't

I used to have my ADF with guppies. While the guppies don't bother the ADFs one bit, it's very hard to feed the frogs. ADF usually take a good 5 to 10 minutes to find food once it's in a tank. Guppies are greedy pigs, and will eat all the bloodworms long before the frogs find any.

Understandable, but i could use a pipette (turkey baster) to squirt food for them where the guppies cant go, i hear adfs will learn where the food comes from eventually.

Depends on what you mean by where the guppies can't go.

I have heard of people putting bloodworms on a little "island" that the frogs learn to climb up onto to eat. Of course they would be safe there. Just about anywhere else, I think the guppies would be able to squeeze into to get food.

Oh, I should add...

Some people *do* feed their ADFs at night. Most fish find food by sight, while the frogs use smell, so it could give them a "leg up" so to speak.
