Dwarf Cichlids

i got a 20 gallon tank for Christmas and it has been cycling since. I have been thinking about adding some dwarf cichlids and i was wondering what would be the best one (other than the cockatoo) and what else i could add with them. The tank is planted with rocks and wood

Ram's, Borelli's Apistogramma, Ummmm....... Kribeniss Cichlid's, i dont remeber the other kind's at the moment. But, kribensis will need the tank to themselves.

In a 20g I'd do a pair of rams, a small school (5-6) of rummy-nosed tetras or harlequin rasboras and then maybe a few hatchets for the top level. You may could even add a few kuhli loaches.

Apisto's, nannacara, rams and kribs are the most likely ones that you'll come across, most prefer heavily decorated bottom and to be kept as a pair, but research the exact species before you buy them.
A shoal of any small characin, such as tetras, pencilfish and hatchets, will look good and encourage your cichlids to be bolder.
The addition of a small algae eater such as a bristlenose would also be beneficial.
