How do I work the colors it does this when I try

you have to close the tab as well....so for orange, you would do this (minus the .... )

[...COLOR=orange] This text would be orange [.../COLOR]

Or you can jsut click on the Close All tabs, right next to the color menu.

Giving you the heads up, I know with some of the different skins, not all the font colors show up as well and can be hard to read. Like I use the dark blue skin, so colors like red and blue tend to barely show up.

EDIT: Sorry, I meant red and purple...very hard to read with the dark skin.
