I have a 10 gallon with 5 females bettas, 2 little cory cats, 1 big apple snail & lots of ghost shrimps (I think 6 or 7 of them).
I just discovered today that one of my betta is bloated up like a pine cone. I'm in shock and don't know where this came from. The last time I added anything new was over 1 month ago.
I just got a new job and I haven't had time to be as diligent as I used to be (with changing the water twice a week and such) in doting on my fishes. I now try to change the water every week and have never gone past 1 1/2 weeks. I only feed them every other day betta pellets & some . I don't know what happended.
I have already isolated her, but I don't have another tank large enough to accomidate (sp?) a heater. I have quick cure, aquarisol, clout, jungle fungus fizz tabs, maracyn, and melafix.
My question is, does this mean every body in the tank will have dropsy? How should I treat her? Should I treat the main tank just in case? Will it kill my inverts and real plants?
Help!
