My betta that had dropsy is doing better!

His scales had barely started raising and I started treating with Kanacyn. It's been almost 2 weeks and he's still alive. He developed a huge hole in his abdomen and I thought he was done for. He didn't eat for a week and constantly had poop hanging.

He started eating 3 days ago and is eating pellets and bloodworms. He is shooting back and forth in the tank acting normally like before and he is no longer bloated and his scales are not protruding. His hole is healing slowly but surely and I'm hoping he'll fully recover. The only problem is I thought he was a gonner so I gave the whole 3 gallon he was sharing to his buddy. Now he's in the half gallon so I gotta get him a gallon tank soon. He's super active again and does his little betta dance for food when I walk up to him. I'm really happy he survived this all.

awwww  So many people have such bad luck with dropsy, it's great to hear a survivor story  So happy for you guys
