I am using a JBL dropchecker that came with my JBL m602 pressurised CO2 kit, but I can't get it to respond to changing levels of CO2.
I am using 4dKH solution from aqua essentials and the bromo-blue indicator that came with the dropchecker.
When first adding it, the colour changes from blue to lightish green over a period of a couple of hours, but then it stays at that colour regardless of the amount of CO2 I am adding, or whether the CO2 is off over night.
I have a 240l tank and I am only adding CO2 at a rate of 1 bubble per 4 seconds, which seems really low from what I have read. I am scared of upping the rate without a functioning level indicator in case it harms the fish.
I have tried positioning it in 3 different positions to ensure it is getting a good water sample, but the result is the same.
Any ideas?
