I went out on a driftwood hunt the other day and found some awesome pieces! Just not sure what all I should do to them.

One is really huge so i cant bake it - i have a few questions since I lack patience.... what is the fastest way to cure the wood? What about the pieces I can fit in the oven, can i soak them till they sink then bake an use?

Open for any tips an ideas.

I'm doing the same thing but I'm not to sure what you mean by cure.I have a large stock pot and I put the wood in it after I thoroughly cleaned and brushed it using a stiff brush;and boiled it for several hours then turned it over to do the other end. I also got a garbage can and put a plastic bag in it and filled it with water. I put the wood in that to let it get waterlogged and leach out the tanins. I change the water every other day until the water is clear. Then I plan on reboiling it just to be sure and use a stiff brush again to get off any loose debris then resoaking it.
