Maybe if you would drill for other people, we would pay you per hole and you could buy more bits with other people's money - it's called business.
Dummies.
ANYway, back to the important stuff. Tell us more!
ROFL
Probably the employees don't know why the boss doesn't alow drilling. most stores here don't do it. I would guess that it doesn't make enough money to be worth the hastle of having to tell the customer, "no guarantee".
(everything I write here is from research not experience)
Can never cut tempered glass. At least with All Glass Aquariums tanks are only tempered on the bottom if they are at all) So you can always try a side cut.
You can get a circle bit for 60+ bucks with diamond insted of teath. These are good for 30-60 cuts. Problem is they only cut one size. Good thing is you use with a power drill, and should take 5-10 min. Nice smoothe cuts. Factories and some peeps use steel bits that are smoth and you keep a steady flow of water with diamond chips flowing under the drill bit.
Dremmel cuts involve slowly making a hole sanding a circle out. The bits are more expensive per cut it would seem. and they take more time 30 + min per hole on average. But, you can make the size / shape you want. Here too you get diamond bits.
Key in doing this is you are SANDING not cutting and you use a minute amount of preasure. And, you must cool the crud out of the bit. constiant spray from water or winsheild wiper fuild as coolent is a must.
Hope that helps. I finally ordered bulkheads (never got any good help there hope I got some that will work
). I should be drilling by monday. I am sure I will make some sort of post. I need a click click digital camera for this little stuff ... no way I will pull out that D30 I borrow for normal work crud
