So...having set up my tank about 6 weeks ago, I am still dreaming about my fish...think they are in my bed...wonder why I can't find them under the covers...my partner has encouraged me to get back into bed because i have gone on walkabouts looking for the fish or trying to catch them in the air....lol...omg I'm going mad? So who is going to admit they too have had LOTS of dreams about their fish at some point?

I often dream about my fish and future tanks :) better than having zombie nightmares!

I used to dream about my tanks and fish all the time, more recent matters have taken over now like personal life
Though I still dream about my fish, I dream that I look into the tank and it's empty and they are swimming around the room with me hehe.

Yes, I admit it, I've had quite a few fish dreams...

My most recent one, and most memorable one actually hurt me! Allow me to explain...

...I had a very vivid dream about taking my largest, 200l tank on holiday abroad with me. I have no idea where I was but I was with my mum and dad (who have been divorced for a million years) and sister. It was time to pack the cases to go home and also to pack away the fish tank. Long story short, no-one in the dream would help me get the water/fish out or help me in to the car with it so I got so frustrated I freaked out and shook my head really hard in a tantrum in the dream.

Turns out I actually did it for real and woke myself up in the middle of the night with a very sore neck and a pounding sore head! Yes, I have issues...

Last night I wondered why I wasnt drowning...my pillow was the bed of the fish tank!!

Lol

I have not quite had mental dreams like that.........yet! :)

However I have dreamt that i am buying huge 10,000 gallon tank and hiring staff to do the dirty jobs i don't like or cant be bothered doing on particular days and enjoying the full benefits of that!

lol :)

We dont suffer of insanity. we enjoy every minute of it :D

Had another dream recently, more like a nightmare actually!

I dreamed that there were hundreds of damselfly nymphs on my pillow and in my hair........

Woke up in middle of night shaking my head and trying to get rid of these from my hair, even threw the pillow!!!......

Needless to say I've had damselfly issues in my main tank!

That made me smile...I too am still dreaming and it's been about cycling the tank....I thought that my partner said to me, if I scratched my neck quite firmly with both hands the tank would cycle quicker LOL...the saddest thing is remembering scratching my neck !!!
I can tell you this though...if I ever...EVER was unfortunate enough to dream about, and think I have damselfly larvae on me I seriously would scream the street awake....they are my biggest fear in life....uurrggghhhhh...

Lol Charlie, awwww I like damselflies.  I've got some in my outside pond and sometimes I see them crawling out and climbing up the reed stems.  Then they spread their wings out to dry and fly away in beautiful technicolour, leaving the larvae husk behind them.  They're fascinating!

I don't have a problem with the adult...it's the larvae....I have not seen anything more scary....especially the way it keeps it's head down until it catches sight of prey then it stares directly at it....ugh...it reminds me of the monster in pans labyrinth who has his eyes in his hands.....lol

Yup, it's not the adults that I mind either, like Francejane, its the nymphs that are creepy.

If you ever see one in your tank, you can see they are completely predatory insects, really purposeful slow movements and determined stares at prey and just outright evil almost.
