Hey I saw some dragon puffers at LFS today and they are amazing! I really want some but I need to find some basic info on them because I can't find much. What tank size do they require? I would want to keep them by themselves (I assume they can't have ant tankmates!) They had a pair there, would I be able to keep 2 of them?? ( I heard puffers can't stand each other!!)

I know the Minions have some and they look incredible! Any info/help would be much appreciated!!

Thanks,
Peter

Ok just searched through and found LadyMinion's post about Dragon Puffers.....looks like there tank size is a bit too big for me to cope with at the mo. They also had a puffer called a sea frog...I can't find anything about this kind of puffer but it was really cute looking.Anyone know what they are?? They also said they could order in any type of puffer...so I'm Looking for a pair of puffers that could go into a 30 gallon tank. Red eye puffers?

The SeaFrog is tetrodon cutcutia, also known as the Common Puffer and the Emerald Puffer.

Is:
-Up to 9cm
-An inactive, ambush preditor
-Highly agressive towards other species of fish
-Highly aggressive towards other of the same species
-Often mixed up with the the even more aggresive [t]t. cochinchinesis[/i] target puffer.
-Undemanding as to water hardmess & pH, as long as it's clean

Needs:
-Very clean, highly filtered Freshwater
-Heavy planting
-Regular meaty foods, preferably live.
-To be kept with no tank mates.

Allright tanks Sir! Looks like thats not really what I'm looking for, its seems a shame to have a huge tank for a single fish

Tell me about it!

When we moved Martha, (Nile Puffer) into her new 4 foot tank, she was only 4 inches long and the only fish in there!

Now she's much bigger and begining to fill the tank. :D

Nile puffers are amazing!! I love martha especially the videos of her eating, such an awesome fish that is an exception where a whole 100 gallon plus tank can be given!!
