Downsized

I took the responsible choice today and gave the opaque betta back to petco. Yes, I did do a full water change, put some food in his cup for the trip, but it was still sad. I am also giving Hector to my mom so she can keep him at school. I know, it's very hard for me, but I feel that I would be much more responsible with 7 bettas then 9... Do you guys think I made a good choice or do you think I put that fish through hell by giving him back?

*hugs* i know it must have been hard to give him away i think it's good that you know your limits though. Who knows maybe he'll find another owner who will give him all the attention in the world. I definteily think i'ts a hard, but good choice on your part

it's not a matter of just HAVING bettas, but actually giving them the attention that they need that's important. No point in having 40 when you hardly pay attention to them at all right?

didn't he say it was becuase he thought 7 would be better than 9? i thought it was becuase he had too many, and felt that he coudlnt' take good care of them all

i would think that anything you could do would be better than petco, but maybe someone thats into bettas will buy him and he will be happy.. who knows

I originally bought him from petco, and yes he was almost fully transperant on his tails. I gave him back because I felt that I wouldn't be giving them as much attention as they deserve.
