Downloadng Videos

ive tried to download vids of my fish before using photobucket but it was taking ages so i gave up....

ive just took a 5 minute video of my tank using my phone and have tried putting it onto you tube to see if it was faster. it isnt! its taking forever...

is there a better way of doing it?

please be steady with me as im no good at computer/downloading/technical stuff

You probably have a poor upload speed, you could try filming in lower quality to reduce the file size, uploading at non-peak times should speed things up too.

well so far its downloaded 30% and its taken about 55 minutes

im using my HTC desire on my home wifi

You're uploading from a phone? Try it on a computer using an ethernet cable wired to your router as it will be marginally faster.

Does your phone have a data transfer cable? If so plug it into your computer and import it.

If you do find it, then it can be very quick, my phone vids are uploaded onto the computer in a matter of secs. Does the phone have a removable memory/mini SD card (sorry I am not familiar with HTC's as I like Apple!). If you do then you may be able to plug this straight into your computer which is really quick. You may have to buy a SD/mini card adaptor though depending on what slots your computer has.Mini SD card adaptor here!

What sort of router do you have b/g/n/ how old is it? N is the best whereas b has hardly any range.
