Ok, the fish I though was called a mudskipper was a Dot Dash Blenny  sorry guys, there was a rockskipper there & I think thats where I got it from? Opps.

Do you think I have room in a 120ltr tank for one, from what I have read I think it should just about be ok, what would you think? We arent planning many fish, the others are a pair of clowns, & a little green Goby, I would love a mandarin too, but not sure that would work?

I've a very long list of corals & a few snails, crabs & shrimps too, all recommended for a nano tank, do you think these would be ok for stocking?

As always, any & all advice appreciated.

Clowns, chromis, damsels, certain wrasse and dartfish are good beginner fish which are relatively hardy. I would suggest about 4-5 fish in a tank that size. I would certainly stay away from mardarin fish as feeding is an issue and unless you culture copepods they generally starve to death. With regards the clowns remember only one species of clown per tank as they will fight to the death otherwise.

Hope this helps

Regards

Mandarin's require a matured tank, and little bugs called copepods, like Crazy fishes said.

The reason why a matured tank is needed as the little copepods bugs can build up in numbers and become a staple diet for the Mandy, unless you can find one that eats frozen you would still need to give it copepods, which you could culture =]

take a look at the wrasses, some are extremely stunning, the one that seems the "in one to have" is the flasher wrasse :D

Thank you :flowers: The fish will be the last things I add, probably 6mths or more down the line for most of them, I just wanted to check on the size of the tank really before I get started, as the Blenny is the fish my daughter fell in love with, if it needs a bigger tank, then I need to scrap my plans & start with a bigger tank.
