Dosing Ammonia Whilst Running Tank With No Fish?

I need to wait a month until I can buy some discus so my tank is fishless. Its been running for over a year and has housed mbuna, south & east american cichlids and others. Im wondering, whilst my mature tank has no fish in it, to keep the bacteria going I will dose each day with ammonia, but how much?

I'd suggest between 1-2 ppm.

But not each day, the bacteria only need to be fed about once a week or so to keep them alive.
