Dora?

At the store there was a beautiful fish called a 'DORA' it looked like a catfish of sorts, it was stunning - any clue about this fish? ive never heard of it

i believe one was striped, the other was very dark

a dark striped corydora would probably be a skunk cory.

And are we talking about a small catfish like thing that stays mostly on the bottom?

It sounds like Platydoras costatus, otherwise known as the humbug catfish. Like all members of the Doradid family they are heavily nocturnal and once introduced to a well furnished tank will vanish never to be seen in daylight again.

yep the doras are very very shy fish and will only be seen when you move there cave or if you turn the lights on in the middle of the night you`ll see them scuttle for cover...

very nice fish but you never see them
