Hi all

Can someone please ID what this problem might be? It started off as a little white patch but is now spreading right round the fish. All the fish in the tank are flashing and rubbing and another female endler has a small white spot which looks like it might end up spreading too. Pic quality is not very good (Crap camera) but you can clearly see the mark.

Water stats:
Ammonia 0
NitrIte 0
Nitrate 10
Thanks
Andy

I know that this is a common symtom of columnaris, but that dosen't cause flashing and rubbing as far as I'm aware.

Does the white patch look fluffy.
The spots on the fish is it a sign of a grain of salt.
Any redness to the spot.
Any excess mucas on the fish, any signs of darting or erratic swimming.
Any signs of laboured breathing.
Fish can flick with columnaris.

Hi Wilder, thanks for the response.
The patch dosen't look fluffy, there is no redness the spots look larger than a grain of salt, the fish don't seem very mucasy. There is no laboured breathing at the moment, but the fish that I have lost have all suffered from laboured breathing before they died. I also have a male guppy that has lost all colour from his tail fin and the fin is very shredded. Infact his tail fin is just falling away as he moves!!

OMG!!

Now one of my male endlers has a white fluffy growth down one side of his head, which covers his eye!! Another female guppy has the saddleback and white patches on all her fins!!

I need some urgent help advice asap!!

Answered your pm.
Good Luck.
