Hi all. After reading a lot of information on many sites dedicated to aquarium keeping, I have decided that the more I learn about this hobby, the less I know. I am quickly realizing that this hobby bears an unfortunate likeness to another hobby of mine, which is gardening. You go to the nursery (lfs) and you see all these lovely plants(f) - you want them all, but you have to narrow it down to what you can afford to spend. If you had $10, that would work out, but you have more -- yes! You can charge it! :hyper:
So you come home with your carload of plants, and there you are with a two foot square bed (tank) prepared. Inevitably, your soil (water) will not be right for the plants you bought, or the spot will be too shady, or too sunny, or too dry, or too wet. Many of the plants will die waiting for you to prepare them an appropriate spot - some you may give away or return. The few that you finally manage to get in the ground, they are a little wilted, a bit sad looking - but you are not giving up on them! You water them, feed them, nurture them, and at last . . . if you are very lucky . . . they will bloom for you. They are splendid - magnificent even! You could sit and look at them for days on end!
But wait - you have a little money again, and there was that cute little perennial, what was it called? And back you go . . .
I am Alia, and that is my introduction. It is good to be here.

Hi welcome,
Mrs. Dragon is a gardener and we have been "diggin out" a 100 feet X 60 feet garden. What she doesn't know about plants isn't worth knowing.
I do know what you mean though about fish and gardening. I have the same trouble! Nice to have you on board- Enjoy.
