Hi guys, I think my Dojo is catfish type so i'll post it here.

I recently bought a Dojo Loach for my 30 gallon goldfish tank. The problem is that the gravel is about .5" to 1". I know Dojo's like to burrow but do you think they will thrive in my subsrate? I have a hollow peice of driftwood, a 9" PVC pipe and 2 terra cotta pots for hiding places. It seems that there are more than enough hiding places but do you think the large gravel is ok?

One more thing... I fed my dojo shrimp pellets but as soon as they come down my goldfish come and gobble them up. The goldfish also likes to nibble on the dojo... My goldfish are about 4 inches and the dojo is about 5 inches long. How am i supposed to feed my dojo?

Thanks a lot!!!

Your Dojo will get plenty food dont worry, we have one in with bigger oranders and we feed them a mix of stuff, we use the king british catfish pellets and he loves them, so do the other fish but he is very active and makes sure he gets his share.

Mine also like Tetra variety wafers which are bigger so the gold fish wont gobble them up so quick.

all i know is i have sand and my dojo never burrows...i know that probably wont help, lol, but he should be fine

I used to keep dojo's for years and I used to have about 1" of substrate, normally fine gravel and they used to bury themselves, quite amusing. I wouldn't worry if they don't.

Also, feeding - I used to feed cucumber and the loved it!
