Dojo Loach

How many dojo loaches are supposed to be grouped together?

And can anyone answer if there is ANY fish (other than a betta) that does well on it's own, or at least, doesn't care how many of it's own kind there are?

yeah, there are tons of fish that can be kept by them selves. Also, dojos are not schooling fish as far as I know, so you can keep one alone. Mine is alone, and he is fine.
