How many dojo loaches can i put in a 48 gallon tank?

Look at my sig. There nothing on the bottom of the tank rly... except for the 2 dojos i have now and teh farlowella.

I wouldn't put anymore than 6 or 7......maybe 8 if you make sure to keep up on water changes

Thats A LOT! i thought 4 would be most since they grow 6-8 inch. I'm only planning to add one more, the big reason i want to is because my other 2 always hide but one comes out sometimes after feeding time (he isnt afraid of me). If the other one comes out (he's full grown at 6 inch) and sees me he would go back and hide, zipping through the water at high speed. Im thinking if i get another, they all might come out more and the big one i have wont be as skittish any more.

No i think you would be better off adding 2 more, they get like 5 inches plus.

Aye,i sugested this becasue even tho I've read they can grow to 8 inches I've never seen one that big in person.I've had 4 and none of them have gotten bigger than 5 inches.
