doing a water change on a tank with indian almond

at the moment my betta tanks all have indian almond leaves in and the water is nice and brown, how do i do a water change? won't putting them into fresh water upset them.

you should only leave the leaves in for a week or so, after that they have served their purpose. go ahead and put fresh water in, remember that IAL should be used as a occassional "spa treatment" and not a permanant fixture for best effect.

thanks bkk_group how often can you treat them, just so i know as they have really perked up. why can't you use them permanantly if i don't intend to sell them, god i'm getting really confused, i read your pinned topic on the subject and thought it was ok if i'm not selling them
