My friend was burgled yesterday. The thieves cut the padlock to one of her kennels & took an eleven month old Cesky terrier.
As she lives 100 yards from the A1 in North Nottinghamshire this dog could be anywhere.

Please keep an eye open for a dog like this appearing in your area. He was in full show coat but may have had his furnishings (hair) cut off by now. The cesky breeders around the country have been informed.

Any help is appreciated.

i know how you feel... my australian shepherd was believed to be stolen recently. it broke my heart. i will never get over him...

manson, i miss you. :-(

:-( thats a dredful thing to happen , your friend must be devistated.lets hope they catch them and get the dog back safe and sound .

Was the dog not microchipped? I'd have thought that anyone who breeds dogs would have them microchipped in case something like this happens as thousands of dogs are stolen every year in th UK.

He was booked in for microchipping next week :( - at a club funday.
He is DNAed so his ownership/identity can be proved & the Cesky Club & breeders around the country have been informed.
In this case a microchip wouldn't have prevented the theft and it was planned as padlocks were cut - other dogs of the same breed were left behind.

I implant microchips - they are not the great solution every claims - useful but don't stop these *******.
What is needed is something along the lines of Canadan law where it is an offence to sell a pedigree animal without registration papers.

Pet theft might as well be kidnapping as far as I'm concerned, criminals like that can't be punished thoroughly enough!
Hopefully he will turn up :(

Still no news :(
Joss is featured in the Retford times & in both national dog papers today and there is an ebay auction for a poster (not for the dosh but for the message & publicity) The ebay item number is 270009960762 and the idea is to get enough people watching this item to get on the ebay pulse page = more publicity.

Sorry to hear about this, it must be awful for her :( I read this in 'Our Dogs' earlier today, hopefully with so many people knowing about it the thieves may hand the dog in somewhere.

I know a litter of puppies went missing just a couple of weeks ago, stolen out of their kennels in broad daylight  These people are getting so brave about stealing dogs now! I worry so much about leaving our labs in their kennel overnight but we have CCTV as well as padlocking them in very securely, but its still a risk i guess!!

I really hope she finds her puppy, please keep us all updated!!

Just had a call to say they have Joss back. Sounds like he was dumped just after the radio interview but he's ok.

Poor mobile signal & crying owner made conversation difficult.

Aaw, that's so good to hear they have him back! :D The only thing that could be better is if they got him back and caught the scum who took him...

But he is home now, and that's great!

Oh thank goodness, I'm so glad he was found!! :D
