Last night I noticed my Severum just staring out of the side of the tank for at least a half hour. I realized he looked like he was watching my husband play Mario Golf ! Could this be or am I losing my mind :shifty:

you probably won't believe this but my fish play Mario golf!!! how weird is that ;)

I tried putting them one in there but every time they plugged it in, it tripped the breakers. I guess its just as well as I don't think they could have worked the remote anyway.

Actually, I don't think they can see that far.

You are officially losing your mind ^_^ enjoy.

You all are too funny !

I think he can see it though as he sees me walk into the room which is further than the TV. I am gonna put it on again tonite and see if he does it again...hehe

Ive got my discus tank on one side of my room, and the sofa on the other. they watch me constantly! i only have to lift my tidy #### off the sofa and they are darting to the front of the glass wanting food!! so no, you are defenately not loosing ur mind!

I think they probably see movement in general and equate it with possible food. It's quite possible they would be able to see the movements on TV in the same way. If they ever start congregating near the front of the tank at the same time every day to watch the daily soaps though, I would star to worry.

LOL

Reminds me of Evan Almighty

My fish are no where near the tv, but i know another way to keep them and you amused........buy a laser pen

Well one of my cichlids, Bozo will stare at me for hours. I will be sitting on the couch and he goes right to the side of the tank near me and just looks at me for ages. It’s a hoot. I wonder what he is thinking when he does this.

I always feel these eyes peering at me.

Yeh I know the feeling chicklette, my sofa backs onto the side of my tank and when i sit watching TV or on the computer I turn round and my angelfish is up against the glass watching me... infact he's here right now...

Bad picture i know but i just turned round and snapped it to prove my point... he didn't like the flash so i got about a 20 second break where he wasn't staring at me!

my male betta also watches TV as his tank is quite close to it....well ore I think he watches the light from the TV, doubt he can make much out!

Any time anyone is in the room that my 75 gallon is in, the angels (and the SAES doing their tail dance) are at the front of the tank staring you down but they're all just a bunch of pigs and want to be fed constantly.

My cichlids watch me and my gf as we watch tv but the bichir just seems to like my company. he'll sit on the bottom on whichever side i'm on and stay there til i move. he doesn't do that for my gf tho just me. the gf is a bit jealous :)
