Does Weather Affect Bubble Nesting?

Today in NYC we woke up to a very sunny mourning. I noticed suddenly both my males went from no nests to these huge bubble nests taking up the entire underside of their half cups and built around the outside of the cups too o.o

Well today sure worked to get one of my couples to spawn! They're still spawning every now and then while he blows more bubbles in between the spawning. I can't see any eggs but I hope they're there. He's sure taking care of the nest between tries.. So I'm guessing theres eggs in there.
