Does this look like a good tank set up?
 
Looks great :) With the AC filter - you can run it empty or put live rock in it or keep it for when you want to put meds in the tank. I use mine for the phosphate reducer I run. If you use actual filter media, make sure to clean it out regularly to keep it from leaching nitrates back into your system.

Actually, that might be too much sand. I think I only used a 5lb bag in mine..... It seemed like it would be too little, but is working just fine. So, someone else may have to chime in on that.
 
Looks great. Look into swapping out that hydrometer for a refractometer. More precise....less SW on the floor...much more fun to use. They have a nice portable one on Drs. Foster and Smith.com. Weclome aboard...take some pix. SH
