Now I think this may have been photoshopped, however I have googled marine betta and seen images although not quite on a scale as this:

I know not very much at all about marine but this pic is awesome :D

Well I think the black one is legit but I donno about white. Could be very rare.

Anyone I hate to say it but marine bettas are quite pretty compared to normal bettas.

There is a marine Betta but it's nothing like those, it's in the grouper family

If you follow the link from the google image.

Laita has combined a marine betta, Calloplesiops altivelis and a panther grouper, Cromileptes altivelis, both species of spotted “groupers” sharing a species name but an inverted color pattern of each other.

They are stunning! Blow the freshwater ones out the water so to speak...

Marine bettas aren't cheap nor that small :p

Wow that supermale Richmond’s wrasse is a fantastic photo of his too!

I got a photo of one of these when I visited an LFS a couple hours away. Absolutely gorgeous! Made me wish (for a split second) that I had a marine tank.

Ive heard of a comet marine betta. Looks like those

I have fleeting thoughts about going marine some day but then reality sets in that I really have no interest in the RO, no interest in the dealing with the chemicals, or the expense.  I'll stick to fresh. There are still plenty of fresh set-ups I can do to keep myself entertained.

Great photo though, thanks for sharing it.

Go fish only Eagles!!

So easy to look after, certainly no more difficult than freshwater! You'd want to keep the groupers and bettas in FO tanks anyway or they wil eat all the shrimps etc.. I think I prefer the hassle free fish only systems, adding in just a few corals more than quadruples the work and expense involved!

Here's a few of the cuties I saw at the LFS (apologies for the photo quality):

1- Panther Grouper and if you look hard, Volitans Lionfish, Lipstick Tang and  a Copperband Butterfly
2- Snowflake Moray Eel
3- Porcupine Puffer (might just be the photo but he isn't the healthiest looking specimen I have seen)

:)
