I can't add any good kinds of fish or anything in my frog tank.
so i have a bunch of snails and a few cheap fish.
but i was wondering if i could add a freshwater crab in ther?

not really, only true freshwater crab is the rainbow or african land crab, which as the name suggests needs access to a dry land area, Also these will probably attack the frogs
other species like fiddler crabs and red clawed crabs are often sold as freshwater crabs but don't really live long unless they have access to brackish water.

ive seen a small freshwater crab at a pet store so it probably was a fiddler. :-(

The ones sold as King Crabs, that look like Fiddler Crabs are a true freshwater species, Heterophelphusa fatum. Usually only males are sent from the suppliers though, and arent very hardy either apparantly.

Crabs and fish just shouldn't be mixed, end of story. Fish big enough not to become a snack for a crab will turn the crab into a snack for them, those smaller are crab food. So long as you aren't keeping any larger types of fish or cichlids I would suggest looking into something like the african armoured fan shrimp, these are absolutely no risk to fish, but you do have to make sure that the fish are no risk to them.
