acctually ive found the fish. its a farlowella. does anyone know anything about this fish? is it friendly? etc?

That sounds like a royal farlowella- Sturisoma aureum or st. festivum. Lovely-looking fish, I would so like to be able to keep one of these, but they would need a largish tank and peaceful not-too-competitive companions.

is this fish worth £20? i was going to buy it the other day but it had an injury or "saw" on the side of its head so my lfs guy wouldn't let me spend £20 on it just yet. im still waiting

about the size thing. ive been reading about this fish and apparently a 30 gallon is minimum so

I know that there can be huge differences in prices in different parts of the world but, Sturisoma aureum can be had in Canada for $15.00 which is around 8 pounds? I've been looking into them recently.
