Does anyone else's Clown Pleco change color?

I think my clown pleco must be part chameleon or octopus! I took all these pictures today. The one where he's on the rock around noon, the one where he's eating around 3pm, and the one lying on the sand around 6pm. Is this normal?

It's trying to blend in to its surroundings.

I never had a clown pleco but I think that color changing is cool.

Mine changes, but never gets that light.

Its normal for plecos, they try to adjust their colours to blend in
