Triton, the Betta in my divided tank, gets very wound up at snails crawling up the front of his tank. He flares up at them like they're a rival male, tail and gills at full attention, until he eventually knocks them off but he spends a good five minutes displaying and nudging them. As soon as they fall off he relaxes and goes back to his normal chilled out self. It makes me smile because he couldn't care less about anything else, the chilli rasbora that can go between the dividers can steal food out of his mouth practically and he doesn't pay them any attention but a snail crawls up the tank and that's it he's off.

I had one that did this as well. He ignored the snail when it was on decor, but I can only assume that when the snail was on the glass it looked like an invader swimming into his space.

That’s kinda funny. I wish mine played with them. They just co/habitat.

That's what my other Betta, Pisces does, he ignores everything in his tank apart from having the occasional stand off with a shrimp when they've grabbed a bit of food that he's dropped and even then the shrimp win every time. I noticed there was a damselfly larvae in his tank last night and he's clearly been ignoring that. Triton, though, if that snail is on the front glass then he's going to have it.
