A True Oddball
Hi,
I currently writing a document about corydoras, as a sort of guide to care, feeding, breeding and raising of common corydoras.
I am mainly going to focus on these:
- C. Aeneus (Bronze Cory)
- C. Sterbai (Sterbai's Cory)
- C. Paleatus (Peppered Cory)
- C. Trilineatus (Three Line Cory)
and possibly Pandas, but I wouldnt class them as common as I've oly ever seen them a few times in Fish shops near me. whats the opinions?
I am currently lacking some information, and I was hoping someone can fill in the gaps:
- What is the average size of a male and a female when they become mature enough to breed?
- In sexing the fish, there is the body shape, ie females are larger and are taller, as well as being more rounded behind the pectoral fins. Females anal fins are also rounded, where as males are longer and more pointed. But is there any other way to tell?
I will be posting a copy of the document here as it develops, so you can tell me what is missing and what you think maybe helpful. The idea of this is to bring together alot of information that can be found when looked for properly, but which many people fail to find.
It is not a precise guide, as there is no one way of doing some thing.
Any experiences and documentation you have produced, such as daily growth logs of your fry may also help, as I could include this in an appendix or such.
any contributions will be acknowledged.
Many thanks,
