My blue acara spawned this morning  . They have a 55 gal tank all to them selves during the day. But at night my Medusa pleco comes out. Ever since adding him I don't see any snails. I'm afraid he will eat the eggs. What could I feed him that would keep him from going for the eggs. I drop an algae wafer in every night and only half gets eaten. This is not a small fish he is 5".

What should I feed him? maybe some big cichlid sinking pellets? What do you think a tasty treat would be?

I feel like my acaras will keep him away but you never know....

in any tank where i've had cichlids spawn, they have kept the pleco's well away, you may get problems the other way around though, where the acara's may get very hostile toward the medusa, just watch them and make sure the medusa doesn't get himself beaten up too badly

Thanks. All eggs look like they are there. My pleco did not touch his wafer but eat some of the pellets. What other food can I feed him? Any live food he seems to like meat more.
