do you recognize this betta?

well...i'm sure you've seen silk, the pure white betta in my siggy.....well, he went from pure white, to having a pinkish body, and a beautiful light green tail! it was really nice looking...while it lasted!

this is him now:

hardly any green left in his tail...it's gone to a mostly white creamy orange color...but i don't mind that, cuz even the creamy orange still looks good. but really bugs me is this!

ahhg! you see that inky looking line?! from a distance it looks like someone smothered black ink on him! but up close, you can see that it's an odd looking line of steel blue, underlined with a orange like color.

why did he have to go n do that now!? he still looks pretty n all....but it looks like someone colored him! as time goes by this line gets more and more noticibal!

has anyone else ever had their fishies colors mutate like this? it's just crazy!

My Cellophanes have the same thing.

Nothing can be done about it.

it just they way they have aged.

is he in sight of any other bettas? because i had 2 in separate tanks, 1 was all red and 1 was light blue, and when i moved them to my 10 gallon with a separator the 1 that was all red started getting blue on his fins, i think its their way of trying to look more tough but i dont know

he's next to one girl, which he gets excited about pretty often...

i know it's something some betta's go through n all....BUT IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!!

i miss my white betta!

I have a pair of bettas I'm trying to breed right now that are white. The male is almost all white with a little black around his gills and the female was all white untill yesterday when I came back from vacation I noticed the tips of her fins were red. It looks pretty good on her actually but that's not what I wanted for breeding her. Today I'm going to pick up a female tri-color at meijers I saw that was beautiful and maybe another random male for a empty bowl I have set up with nothing in it.

It's very common for them to change color like that as they age.
