I'm going to have to go home for winter break, which is a good 3 weeks long, I'll be able to take my fish home easily but the tank and LR wont be so easy to take home, Can I just leave the lights on a timer and walk away, letting the algea on the Live rock feed the crittes which will feed the other critters. So long as I dont have anything big will I be fine W/O feeding or should I get myself an auto feeder or assistant?

I take it your cycle is complete

Wot corals & critters are you talking about

:D :D

no, its far from complete, its just starting, I'm simply planning ahead. As for corals I am going to have some zoas and a mushroom of some sort for a clown to host in. Maybe after the break I'll get a long tenticled frogspawn (green and pink, because I love flourescence). Then as for critters I'll have a cleanup crew, probably 16 critters or so, and a cleaner shrimp, a pepermint shrimp, and a pistol shrimp, the former two of the shrimp could be taken with me on break.

The shrimps will need fed, Snails/crabs Will be fine & the corals shouldnt be a problem as long as there is sufficient lighting
