and one more thing... how do u hide ur filters?

u can hide them with plants or what i do is have something intersting which people will look at rather than looking at the filter lol like i havea huge tree root looking thing in my tank plus plants aorun dthe filter

As far as I know bettas do not need plants. Bettas are pretty much carnivores eating mostly insects and larvae. As for hiding a filter what kind of filter are you talking about ?

I don't think it matters wether their alive or not as long as their not plastic and sharp enough to rip a bettas fins.
