hi,
ive added my second pleco, unknown because i cannot get a pic for id, maybe its because hes new, it took my other pleco 5 months and he still only comes out if he cant see me watching him :S .

My sailfin De Niro is about 8" now and he is still really shy, although he's coming round as he grows. When they're teeny they tend to hide a lot, but it won't be long til yours grows monster huge so I wouldn't worry about it! I'm hoping when De Niro gets to his expected final size (18"+) that he'll be more outgoing. Whatkind of tank have you got for him?

reklord 96 but if he grows too big i have a friend who will gladly have the big guy lol

Yeah sailfins are quite nocturnal fish and are not very active fish in general, so providing lots of cover like caves is very important to help keep them happy. Some people buy these fish in the hope that they'll spend much time swimming about like most other fish, but unfortunately this is not so.
If you want to see you sailfin out and about more, feed him at night and watch him eat :good: . If s/he's young, it will also spend a fair amount of time cleaning the tank of certain types of algae too if you have any  .
