Well yes they do, but what I wanted to know is does it matter what bulbs I use? I currently have a jewel rekord 800 with a built in light in the lid, there are 2 bulbs (I'm at work so don't ask spec). What I do know is one of the 2 bulbs are dimmer and is a 'day lamp'.

What I'm wanting to know is can I just put 2 super bright white bulbs in? The tank currently has a dim tinge to it... And no its not the water, been and checked that :p

Cheers

in my experience, two super brights = lots of algae. Thats whi i have one super bright at the back, and one day-light at the front. Also, the super's see to increase the reds in the fish, and the Day increases the blues, so it can be great when my fish swim from back to front to see the differences (especially my blue & red dwarf gourami)
