Probably a really stupid question, my cycle seems to be nearly finished, but it will be a while still before I add any livestock just to make sure its all settled.
So i'm not feeding anything into the tank, in the rock I have a few crabs, 2 large ones & at least 2 smaller ones (the large ones I am hoping to catch & rehome over the next few days) I have 3 or 4 small snails, not sure what type but one has a trunk & is very cute, also have a fair few bristle worms, fether dusters & a couple of little polyps opening up.
Do I need to add anything to the water yet, or will these little creatures all live happily on the algae which is appearing?
Also, so I can get organised, what are good foods for the CUC, will they graze happily on the tanks natural sources of food, if so is it best to wait a few more weeks before adding them? or do I add foods? Any other essentials I should add to my marine store cupboard?
