So I have 6 pristellas and 4 julii cories in a 10 g. A bit overstocked inchwise but its also a bit overfiltered, planted, I do water changes very regularly and the water params stay constant.

Well I've just "rescued" 5 more pristellas and 1 lone julii from a friend of my sister. They are hanging out in qurarrintine (one day I'll learn how to spell that word properly) for now. I think I'll REALLY be overstocked if I put them all in there together. I am a tad short on space but I believe I could fit a 20 or 29 gal under my 55 gal. Its a 2 tiered stand. Water changes are an enourmous pain but they are doable (I have another 10g there now).

I want this tank to have just these two kinds of fish in it and possibly increase my cory school by two or three.

so for 11 pristellas and 8 or so cories a 20 or a 29?

Oh and its so weird, lately my pristellas have been "schooling" with the corys ... on the bottom. Not all the time but every once in a while I'll see them all hanging out in a row under the amazon sword.

If you can get a 20 long it would be better than a "standard" 20. the 20 long has the same length and width of a 29 gallon. It is just not as tall. I think that it would be fine for 11 pristellas and some cories. Also, it may fit better where you want to put it. Good Luck. I have pristellas and I  them.

Edit: Oh I just noticed about the cories and pristellas schooling. Mine all play in the water current together. I don't know if it's cories thinking they are pristellas or pristellas thinking they are cories.... :dunno:
