Do I Have Room???

I have a 55G tank, with a 304 Fluval filter.

So far I got:
2 Balas (About 2 inches)
1 Silver dollor (About 3 inches)
1 pleco (About 2 inches)
2 Goldfish from cycling the tank that lasted.

I was just wondering if i could fit in some more fish.....tank looks so empty.
If I could fit in more what could i get???

I was thinking of getting 2 more Silver dollors.

Well, your bala's are going to need a bigger tank in the future, as they will grow over a foot long. A common plelo can get around 18" too.
Although it may not look full now, it will be in a short while, and you will probably have to buy a bigger tank by then.

Yeah, i know i dont know what to do.....

When i got them i diddn't think they would grow that big. At the pet shop there was a Bala that was about a foot long and i asked the worker if mine would grow that big in a 55G and he said no. That bala was grown in a 100G thats why it was so big......

you could get a couple more silver dollars if you like them as they are a schooling fish that should not really be on their own anway. Thats on the understanding that you rehome the bala sharks that are going to be too big for your tank anyway.

Frank is right so you may have to give away some of your fish in the future.

they probarbly wont grow as big in a small tank..thats not to say its fair on the fish.

im pretty sure if i was kept in a 2 foot box from when i was 6months old i would not grow properly. nor would i live a full and happy life.

I think i'm going to give away my Silver Dollor because it takes out the possibility to get any smaller fish.
I'm probably going to give away one Bala Shark too.

So I will have 1 Bala Shark, and a pleco. Thats about 32 Inches.

I have 23 Inches to work with then. Is that how it works?
I think i'm going to fill the rest of the space up with some tetras.
